It seems to have more flexibility than Blogger, although it does have some curious shortcomings. Why being able to make a few changes to my style sheet is a “Custom Upgrade” is a mystery to me. If they need more money to keep the service operating, why don’t they just charge a small annual fee? Anyway, I found a template that is suitable for me. With the next post I’ll get down to business.

]]> http://carsonsasser.com/2006/08/20/my-decision/feed/ 0 Found a lame way to increase font size http://carsonsasser.com/2006/08/17/found-a-lame-way-to-increase-font-size/ http://carsonsasser.com/2006/08/17/found-a-lame-way-to-increase-font-size/#comments Thu, 17 Aug 2006 19:53:57 +0000 Carson http://carsonsasser.com/?p=6 It’s inconvenient but it works.  In Internet Explorer I went to Tools / Internet Options, clicked the Accessibility button on the General Tab, and then checked the ‘Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages’ box.  Now I can change the text size using the View / Text Size menu option or using the mouse wheel with the Ctrl key held down.  One drawback is that it changes the text size on the whole browser page, not just in the Write Post text window.

I’ll be using this blog to learn how to use WordPress. I will also be comparing it to other blog hosts, like Blogger, Living Dot and Type Pad.  I already see a problem.  Why the @#$!&% is the text so small in this posting window (Write Post) and there doesn’t appear to be any way to make it larger — at least not an obvious one.

These early posts won’t be that interesting, but bear with me for a few days and I will try to do a lot better with the content.
